Opportunities for the national participation in international SOLAS activitiesIt is very likely that Taiwanese scientists will participate in international SOLAS activities by tuning the existing projects to fit the SOLAS needs. For instance, the SEATS project may include core measurements required by SOLAS. The SEATS cruises may provide opportunities for domestic or international SOLAS scientists to participate. In addition, the SEATS moorings for ADCP and thermister chains may serve as platforms to accommodate sensors for SOLAS purposes. The archiving of SOLAS related data will be most likely handled by the Ocean Data Bank of the National Center for Ocean Research (NCOR), Taipei. The secretariat for the national SOLAS program will probably reside at NCOR.
