We would like to congratulate the Past-Chair of SOLAS, Prof. Peter Liss (a
new Fellow of the Royal Society), and a another member of the UK-SOLAS
Steering Committee, Prof. Mike Pilling (University of Leeds), who have
been named ?Commander of the British Empire?(CBE) for their services to
science in Queen Elizabeth II?s Birthday Honours, announced on Saturday.
