SOLAS Open Science Conference

Register ASAP
Only a VERY limited number of places are remaining for the SOLAS Open Science Conference. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis until we reached our maximum capacity. We will close registration as soon as we have filled the remaining places this could be before the Early bird deadline(15Sept). Ensure that you attend and REGISTER NOW

Pay early bird fee
Early-bird registration payment must be made before Tuesday 15th September. Payments made after this date will incur a 100USD additional charge. Log into your account and PAY NOW

Book accommodation
The deadline for booking your accommodation is approaching. After registering, book your room using our chosen hotel chain and hostel to ensure cheap rate accommodation before 1st October.

Apply for visa
Visit our travel webpage. Obtaining a visa may take several months, so contact your embassy as soon as possible. If your visa application process requires an official invitation, please contact the SOLAS office. Note that no invitation letter will be issued before you have paid your registration fee.

Has my poster been accepted?
All registrants whose posters have been accepted or rejected have been notified by email on the 9th Sept.

NSF have made an Announcement of Opportunity for the organisation of projects on environmental research in the Arctic. Deadlines can be submitted before 15 December 2009 by searching for '09-599' http://www.nsf.gov/funding/

<A call for proposals has been made to European research teams in Arctic environmental research allowing free access to the Ny-Alesund Research Infrastructure in Svalbard, Norway. The deadline for proposal is 30 September 2009 http://arcfac.npolar.no

The programme framework is ready for the International Polar Year IPY Oslo Science Conference which will be held between 8 - 12 June 2010
