One of the SOLAS sponsors, WCRP (World Climate Research Pogramme) has recently released its 2010-2015 Implementation Plan.

Science on screen

"Acid Test: The Global Challenge of Ocean Acidification"

The film was produced by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) to raise awareness about ocean acidification (featuring Sigourney Weaver).

The film and outtakes are now available to view on-line and the film will also be broadcast on Discovery Planet Green at the end of October (more details).

The SOLAS-IMBER Sub-Group 3 on Ocean Acidification (SIOA) has recently been launched. the group is chaired by Jean-Pierre Gattuso and will hold its first meeting at UNESCO in Paris from 1-3 December 2009.
