Open Science Conference Deadline Extended to 8 February 2012

SOLAS Open Science Conference: Abstract deadline extendedThe abstract submission deadline for the SOLAS Open Science Conference (OSC) 2012 has been extended to 8 February 2012. With the holiday season approaching for many we hope this extension will give you time to complete your abstracts as well as suggest topics for discussion sessions.

Give a short talk
Don't forget that you can still be considered to give a short talk at the conference. Just tick the "short talk" option when making your registration. Full details about the conference venue, programme and invited speakers are available in the 2nd announcement flyer.

Full board meal options
Your registration fee includes admittance to the full conference programme, reception, banquet and full board meals. Several meal package options have also been designed to allow accompanying friends or family members to dine with you whenever they would like.

Accommodation
Accommodation is not included in the registration fee however luxury lodging options are still available for conference participants at excellent prices. Special rates are available not only during the meeting but for several days before and after and friends or family members can lodge with you at no extra fee.

Conference fund 2012
Applications are still being accepted from early-career scientists from developing countries and countries with economies in transition thanks to support from the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR). Click here to find out more and apply: deadline 18 January 2012

New Abstract Submission Deadline: 8 February 2012

COST Action 735COST Action 735

Action 735 Final Event, 29 November 2011 in Frascati, Italy.
This symposium represented the culmination of five years of collaboration across Europe and beyond in the field of assessing global air-sea fluxes of climate and air pollution relevant gases and marked the formal end of COST Action 735.
The meeting will be held preceding the Earth Observation for Ocean-Atmosphere Interactions Science meeting co-organised by ESA, SOLAS and EGU.

COST 735 final publication: Ocean-Atmosphere Interactions of Gases and Particles

A meeting of more than 30 of the authors of the COST Action 735 final publication was held preceding the Actions final event to . The publication is due for release in late 2012 and will be available to purchase in hard copy as well as online, open access.
