SOLAS update

New chair and members to SOLAS Scientific Steering Committee

    • We are delighted to welcome the new Chair of the SOLAS Scientific Steering Committee (SSC), Lisa Miller. Lisa is a research scientist at the Institute of Ocean Sciences, Sidney, BC, Canada. She has an extensive history with SOLAS and was a member of the SOLAS SSC from 2011 to 2016. Lisa has been instrumental in the development and finalisation of the SOLAS 2015-2025 Science Plan and Organisation.

    • At the same time, the SOLAS community extends its deepest gratitude to Véronique Garçon, who stepped down as Chair of the SSC at the end of December. Her 3-year term has been an exciting period of renewal and revitalisation for SOLAS, and she will be missed!
