Student Duty As part of the commitment of a successful applicant, you are expected to complete the following before attending the Summer School, and bring the relevant items with you:
A powerpoint presentation briefly introducing yourself and the topic that you are researching; this should last no longer than ONE minute
A powerpoint presentation detailing your topic's background, research method and findings, if you have any. This should last no more than FOUR minutes allowing an additional one minute of questions in your allocated five minute slot.
A scientific poster about your research topic (preferably greater than A1 and not to exceed A0).
If you have a paper in preparation, bring it with you so that you might work on it during the 'Communication in Science' practical. If you do not, an example paper will be used. |
