Issue 44: 10th SOLAS Summer School 2026

The SOLAS Event Report Issue 44 reports on the 10th SOLAS Summer School 2026 (SSS-26) held from 9 to 27 March 2026 at Tamandaré, Brazil – the first SSS in South America.

The school was officially endorsed as an activity of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development and served as one of the inaugural events to implement the new SOLAS 3.0 science plan (2026-2030) framework, "SOLAS Science Towards Solutions", which bridges fundamental research with the science-policy-society nexus. This three-week residential event provided an immersive environment designed to build interdisciplinary knowledge, practical scientific skills, and long-lasting international networks among the next generation of SOLAS researchers.
